Anna started working at the clinic in 1996 as a kennel staff member. She currently is
the Clinic Team Leader. You will find her interacting with clients
behind the front desk but she also helps manage the the office. She has developed many skills over a 15 year period and is able to help the doctors, train new staff, and help clients with most of their questions.
Anna is currently engaged and has a large family in the Lansing area. When she is not helping to manage the clinic she is busy managing her family. Her daughter, fiance, and numerous cats and dogs keep her focused. Needless to say...life is busy at work and at home.

Philip is currently a second year veterinary student at
Michigan State University. His
father, Philip J. Smyka founded the clinic in 1985. Before attending veterinary school, Philip obtained a bachelors
degree in Accountancy and spent several years managing the practice after his
father’s passing. He currently
manages the practice with his wife, Dr. Rebecca Smyka.
Philip grew up in Lansing, graduated from East Lansing High
School, and spent his free time watching Michigan State athletics, a tradition
he continues today….especially when they are playing his wife’s alma mater,
Purdue. When he isn’t at the clinic or in school he enjoys spending time with
his wife, their four legged pets, his family, and friends.
