Pre-Veterinary Internship The Pre-Veterinary Internship was developed to give college age students an opportunity to learn more about the veterinary profession. The internship was first offered in 1994 and has most recently been developed to include 26 week clinical competency course during the 52 week internship. The Pre-Vet internship involves a one year commitment. During that time interns will become paid employees and will be expected to live in the clinic apartment. Interns will learn reception duties, oversee boarders in the evening, administer evening medications, clean the facility, learn to assist the doctors, and help deliver lab work to Michigan State University.
