Veterinary Field Trips

Our doctors and team are excited when we get the opportunity to work with school aged kids. Exploring science through veterinary medicine is a fun way to teach kids. We enjoy teaching students about surgery, radiology (x-rays), lab equipment and all kinds of other pet related health questions. We have developed different age specific programs for groups of kids between the grades of Kindergarten-8th.

We ask that groups be no larger than 50 students and have 1 chaperone per 10 students (grades k-3) and 1 chaperone per 15 students (grades 4-8).  Let us know if visiting the clinic isn't possible and you would like a veterinarian to visit your classroom. Our schedule doesn't always accommodate for an off site field trip but we are happy to try.  Please contact us if you are interested in setting up a field trip or a vet visit.

We ask that high school aged students interested in veterinary medicine contact the clinic directly. We believe that veterinary shadowing and summer kennel employment is more appropriate for this age group.  However, we are happy to travel to high school career days to discuss the veterinary profession.

Community Events
We can't always attend evens due to our hectic schedules but when time permits we enjoy the opportunity to participate in various community gatherings. Sometimes we donate our services or offer gift certificates for charity raffles and other times we try to directly participate in the event. Please contact us to let us know how we can help.
